I’m a mother of four wonderful daughters, the heart behind each piece of pottery I create is rooted in family, joy, and everyday beauty. My work is inspired by the rhythm of daily life—items that are held, used, loved, and shared. I believe in the power of functional art: pieces that not only bring beauty into your home but also serve a purpose in your day-to-day life. There's something special about crafting an object that becomes part of someone's morning coffee routine or family dinner table.

I split my time working in my home and at the Hot Shops Art Center, both of which offer me different energies and inspiration. I’m drawn to the organic—earthy textures, soft edges, natural tones—as well as modern, clean forms. Depending on the day (or mood), my work might lean toward one or the other, but it always remains deeply personal and connected to the moment in which it’s made.

You can find some of my work locally at the Elmwood Pharmacy and at the Heirloom Market & Café. I also take on a small number of commission pieces, but I keep this limited so that no one is left waiting too long—my goal is always to bring joy, not stress.

Before diving back into the art world, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Family Sciences from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. I spent many meaningful years advocating for children in the foster care system, working with family’s navigating early child education, along with teen parents and people living with HIV and AIDS.   Roles that shaped much of how I view connection, empathy, and the importance of creating safe, nurturing spaces—values that still guide my artistic process today.

These days, my focus is on my family and making as much pottery as possible—each piece carefully created and full of love and intention. My creative practice is holistic and grounded in family, mindfulness, and community. I'm continually inspired by the  vibrant art community here in Omaha, and I’m so grateful to be a part off it.

Thank You for supporting local art and Sharing this journey with me.
