Curt, a self-taught wood turner has always had a profound interest in wood crafting. Since his retirements from Omaha Public Power District, he had been given the gift of time to sharpen his skills at the art of woodturning. Curt enjoys the versatility of turning many different types of wood and had appreciation for the unique beauty in all. Residing in the State of Nebraska gives him the opportunity to harvest a large variety of Midwestern woods such as Spalted Maple, Walnut and Osage. Curt also enjoys turning a wide variety of pieces such as beautiful multi wood candlesticks, wine bottle stoppers, pens, bowls, and hollow-form vases. Curt is actively involved in two woodturning clubs in the area and a member of the American Association of Woodturners.
