Kari Lewis

I consider myself to be an art teacher and artist. I have been teaching high school art for 19 years now. I have always loved to see others create and display their work. It is so exciting to see a young person realize the talent they have and to embrace it.

I have been creating my own art for as along as I can remember. Over the years I have sold things here and there. It wasn’t until a few years ago when I really got into watercolors that I thought more about displaying and selling my work. I began painting images of animals. I used the freedom of watercolors and the detail and realistic style that I was accustomed to, to create images that had life and personality. I love to paint the wonder and creativity that is in nature. Each animal has it’s own personality and I don’t know that I can ever get bored with trying to capture and portray that for others to appreciate and enjoy.
