My name is Trudi Woksa. I have been creating for the past ten years regularly, and off and on for years. I have experimented with may different mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink, graphite and colored pencil. I often gravitated to drawing and painting people, as to me nothing is more interesting then the human face. Lately I have been painting more abstracts after I was challenged to do a commission that was out of my comfort zone. I fell in love with the practice. I start with the process of smearing and dabbing and using various utensils to create interesting patterns. Sometimes the images will resemble snowy mountains in a white mist, other times I see Starry skies, or lakes.... I like to spend several days just gazing into the painting and letting my eyes see different things until it becomes clear what it is that I see then I enhance it to bring it to the obvious image... or sometimes I just leave it!
